Field Trips
| The Junction of Hope offers field trips for schools
throughout Michigan. We have no limit on what age or type of class,
just any school with a genuine interest in this project. Our banquet
room seating is limited to 50 people, so that is our only real limitation.
Our field trip format includes a tour of the restaurant, viewing of
our video, question and answer session with some of our special needs
employees, founder Linda Diem, or board members, and then lunch. By
touring our facility, students and teachers will see first hand that
there is indeed a place for everyone in the workplace, including special
needs people. Arrival time is generally around 10 am, lunch served
at 11:30 am, and departure around 12:30 pm. |

Unlike a sheltered workshop, the Junction provides the opportunity for
special needs employees to interact with the public and their coworkers.
